AMA Nashville is only as great as our volunteers. 

The Nashville Chapter is a growing, diverse group. Whether you are looking to network, get hands-on experience, or increase your knowledge getting involved with AMA Nashville is a direct path to opportunity. If you would like to help our chapter grow by providing your skills and talents we have a large number of volunteer opportunities available. Become a Volunteer

As a volunteer, you'll work closely with board members to execute their goals and build your network. Here are a few volunteer roles we're looking to fill immediately:

  • Social Media Manager - Manage all of AMA Nashville’s social media accounts, engage with followers, find relevant content to share, draft posts for non-event-related content, and support the social media specialist. (Time commitment: up to 3 hours per week)

  • Social Media Specialist - Draft social media posts for events, with relevant content and images, and work with the social media manager to schedule posts. (Time commitment: up to 2 hours per week)

  • Email Specialist - Draft and send weekly events email and monthly newsletter (Time commitment: up to 2 hours per week)

  • Membership Support - Support the membership team by contacting members up for renewal and planning/hosting monthly mixers. (Time commitment: up to 4 hours a month)

  • Programming Support - Support the programming team by researching speakers and planning events (logistics, on-site support). (Time commitment: Up to 4 hours a month)

  • Bookkeeper - Keep Quickbooks up-to-date. Make payments through our bank account. Support Treasurer with monthly reporting. (Time commitment: Up to 3 hours a month)

  • Mentorship Chair - Lead our mentorship program - Find mentors and help the mentorship team create matches (Time commitment: Up to 4 hours a month)

  • Volunteer Chair - Do you love to network and help people find a place where they belong? Our volunteer chair connects with individuals interested in becoming more active with AMA Nashville and helps them find the right role. (Time commitment: Up to 4 hours a month)

  • Young Professionals Support - Support the young professional’s chair with events and communications to our young professional members. (Time commitment: Up to 4 hours a month)

  • Collegiate Relations Support - Support the collegiate relations chair with events and communications to our collegiate chapters and partners (Time commitment: Up to 4 hours a month)

  • Sponsorship Support - Support the sponsorship team with finding sponsors, onboarding them, and delivering on their sponsor benefits. (Time commitment: Up to 6 hours a month)

  • Event Support - Help us execute a successful event by helping with set up/tear down (if needed), guest check-in, and assisting guests. Sign-up for the events you're able to attend. (Time commitment: Up to 3 hours per event, for most events)
